 CAREER DEVELOPMENT AWARDS FOR SKILLS TRAINING

 

                                                 2009 Awards

 

The 2008-2009 Career Development Awards were presented at the 2009 AGM held Wednesday September 23, 2009. The Awards were presented by David Shipley to the following people.This year there were three awards.Photographs can be viewed in "The Newsletter" Edition 104. Just click here

 

Gino Guardiani, injection moulding technician at VIP Packaging, Kingsway Moorabbin won the the major Career Develpment Award co-sponsored by PACIA and Plastics Pioneers.. This award is traditionally for young achievers. Gino successfully completed Certificates 3 and 4 in injection moulding along with an earlier qualification in automotive.Gino was nominated by Kangan Batman TAFE.

 

Frank Gabriel of Hella Australia won a Career Development Award.He was nominated by Wilhelm Morgan Institute where he compeleted Certificate 4 and he is currently working on his Diploma of Polymer Engineering.

 

Ben Walker of Barfell Industries won the inaugural Arthur Bourne Award for Career Encouragement. Trained by Graeme Churchward of Australian Management Academy.For many years he was a truck driver but chose to develop his career. initially he moved to warehouse supervison and he then completed Certificate 3 in Process Manufacturing.


 Plastics Pioneers  Australia provide Annual Career Development Awards for skills training  for both young and mature age students as well as a Career Encouragement Award.
